Logical or physical: which is right for you?
Logical data destruction sanitizes a drive with software so the device can keep going, which is good for reuse. Physical destruction, such as shredding, removes any chance of recovery and is the usual choice for the most sensitive drives or drives that no longer work.
Organizations in healthcare, government, finance and education often need to show how information was handled. Our documentation levels are built for that, and they help you meet requirements such as HIPAA. Your compliance decisions remain yours, so ask us which level fits your policy.
We serve Minneapolis and all major suburbs within 35 miles, including Brooklyn Park and St. Paul. Open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

FAQ
Good questions.
What is the difference between wiping and shredding a hard drive?
Wiping overwrites the data with software so the drive can often be reused. Shredding physically destroys the drive. Choose shredding for the most sensitive data or for drives that no longer work.
Which documentation level do I need?
Level 1 suits most households and small offices. Regulated businesses usually need the itemized report or the full audit trail. Call 651-955-3720 if you are unsure.
Is data destruction included when I recycle a computer?
Personal information on computers recycled with us is sanitized. Tell us which documentation level you need and we will confirm any cost before we begin.
Do you work with healthcare and government clients?
Yes. Our documentation options are designed for HIPAA, government and medical requirements. We recommend confirming your own policy with your compliance team.
Should I do anything to my phone before I drop it off?
Sign out of iCloud or Google first. Locked devices limit our ability to reuse them and to sanitize them completely.
